Senior Advisor: Technical support for capacity building and implementation of the GWP – UNICEF Strategic Framework for Wash Climate Resilience

The Global Water Partnership Southern Africa’s newly launched Project Preparation Partnership for Climate-resilient Water Projects invites suitable candidates to apply for the position of: Senior Advisor: Technical Support for Capacity Building and Implementation of the GWP – UNICEF Strategic Framework for WASCH Climate Resilience.

Duration of Assignment: 8 months, with the possibility of extension subject to availability of funding

Reporting: To the GWPSA Executive Secretary/Coordinator: Global Water, Climate and Development Programme

Location:
Home based with frequent travel to Pretoria, South Africa  

Scope & Objective of Assignment:

The objective of the consultancy is to provide the necessary expert technical support in the area of WASH Climate Resilient Development within the context of the Project Preparation Partnership for Climate resilient Water Projects for the GCF.

The consultancy comprises capacity building around the Strategic Framework for WASH Climate Resilient Development; support to its implementation; and support the development of GCF WASH climate proposals and Concept Notes to finance appropriate solutions for the WASH sector. All this will need to be completed taking into consideration the diverse needs of GWP and UNICEF country programs around the world
