The launch will take place at a workshop where the main objective will be to give an overview of WACDEP in Africa and to discuss its implementation in Northern Africa. The workshop will discuss, amend and agree the activities in Tunisia and the North-Western Sahara Aquifer System (NWSAS). Activities will be carried out at three levels: international, national and local.

Expected participants include key stakeholders from the water and climate change sectors in Tunisia and in the NWSAS: regional organizations, ministries, user associations, main donors, research centers, the private sector and civil society.

The workshop will consist of presentations followed by plenary and group discussions. It will be structured into four sessions:

• Session I: Presentation on WACDEP in Africa
• Session II: Presentation on WACDEP in Northern Africa
• Session III: Group discussion of suggested activities
• Session IV: Discussion of group work recommendations
