KWP is an example of an effective public-private multistakeholder Urban Water Partnership where government, the private sector, civic organisations, and individuals work together in the areas where they add most value.
The theme of the World Water Day 22 March 2011 is “Water for Cities: Responding to the Urban Challenge.” The world’s urban population is expected to increase from around 3.3 billion today to over 6 billion by 2050.
