The draft project ideas would have a strong water focus or relevance, and would target addressing specific impacts of climate change. Preferably, project ideas should have already been prioritized by the national development plans, NDC, NAP, IWRM Plan or similar plans in the country. It is expected that the project ideas will be discussed among the participants of each country of the workshop, that is, the country team, and that the NDA will forward them through the online portal.
During the workshop, the country teams will receive support to analyze and further develop the project ideas to turn them into project concept notes that meet the GCF requirements.
The workshop will include exercises on how to translate project ideas into project concept notes for the GCF, and provide examples of quality project proposals that meet the GCF investment requirements to illustrate the direction in which the concept notes should take.
