The GWP CACENA Regional Secretariat has the overall responsibility for the coordination and day-to-day function. It implements the annual GWP CACENA Work Plans in close cooperation with the GWP CACENA Regional Council, and is responsible for promoting collaborations and synergies with other organizations, institutes and processes active in the CACENA Region. The Regional Secretariat manages all initiatives, programmes and projects of GWP CACENA.
The GWP CACENA Regional Secretariat is based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and is hosted by the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), which legally represents GWP CACENA (based on Agreement between the Global Water Partnership Organization and IWMI).
