Danube Water Conference 2018

The Danube Water Conference 2018 will be held on 2-3 May in Vienna, Austria and will address European and Global Water challenges in delivering Water services.

The 2018 Danube Water Conference is organized by the Danube Water Program (IAWD and World Bank) with funding from the Austrian Government. The conference will bring together more than 150 key sector representatives from entities such as national utility associations, the regional network of associations of local authorities, water and wastewater utilities, line ministries, regulatory authorities, the donor community and other international associations to discuss the progress, challenges and the required future actions to achieve sustainable water and sanitation services for all in the Danube region, along the foundation of smart policies and strong utilities.

During the session  International and national actions to achieve sustainable water and sanitation services, GWP CEE will present the project Youth Voices -> Policy Choices.

Youth Voices → Policy Choices is a dialogue for water and climate change policies between young leaders and policy-makers, which aims to empower youth to define a clear vision for the future. Young leaders will meet with experienced policymakers to craft actionable visions for water in advance of COP24 in Katowice, Poland in December 2018.
