Zagreb, 3 July 2015. Today, the ICPDR Stakeholder Conference “Voice of the Danube” has convened in the Croatian capital. Over 80 stakeholders from a broad range of backgrounds stood the heat and expressed their views on the draft management plans for the Danube River.

Márton Czikkely, Tamás Gergely Iványi and Tamás Márkus from Városmajori Grammar School won Hungarian Final of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize on 30 May 2015 with a project "The Secrets of Drinking Water".

The fourth and final workshop within the Integrated Drought Management Programme (IDMP) was held on 21-22 April 2015 in Bucharest, Romania.

WaterInnEU project, coordinated by Center for Ecological Research and Forestry Application (CREAF) in Spain, started in March 2015. 

The topic of World Water Day 2015 is Water and Sustainable Development. GWP CEE took active part in the global GWP campaign In Support of a Dedicated Water Goal in collaboration with UN-Water, to raise awareness of the links between Water and Sustainable Development. 

On World Water Day, 22 March 2015, GWP Central and Eastern Europe is realeasing a new video in support of a dedicated water goal in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as part of the UN Post-2015 Development Agenda.

On 8 March 2015, GWP celebrates International Women’s Day by advocating for a #watergoal, which would mean major improvements in living conditions for women worldwide. GWP Chair Ursula Schaefer-Preuss points out that there is a close connection between women and water.

February 2, 2015 – Global Water Partnership (GWP) launched a campaign today to maintain a dedicated water goal on the UN post-2015 development agenda.

The Office of the Prime Minster of Kosovo in cooperation with Global Water Partnership organized a National Drought Dialogue on 12 November 2014 in Pristina.
