The Global Water Partnership-Mediterranean is seeking to hire a Senior Private Sector Engagement Specialist for Water. The successful candidate will be hired by MIO-ECSDE, a civil non-profit society based in Greece, in its capacity as Host Institute for GWP-Med.

The Global Water Partnership (GWP) is a multi-stakeholder platform and an action network, supported by a global secretariat that was established as an intergovernmental organization to support countries in their efforts to implement a more equitable and sustainable management of their water resources. The GWP network spans 13 Regions with more 60 Country Water Partnerships and over 3,000 institutional Partners in 180+ countries. The global secretariat is hosted by the GWP Organisation (GWPO) located in Stockholm, Sweden. The Global Water Partnership – Mediterranean (GWP-Med) is responsible for the Mediterranean region, covering countries of the Near East, North Africa, Southeastern Europe and the European Union. It was launched as the GWP Mediterranean Technical Committee (MEDTAC) in 1999, was established in its present status in 2002 and is legally represented by the Mediterranean Information Office for Environment, Culture and Sustainable Development (MIO-ECSDE), holding non- governmental organization (NGO) status, based on a Host Institute Agreement between GWPO and MIO-ECSDE. The GWP-Med Secretariat extends its human resources in Athens, Beirut, Podgorica, Pristina, Skopje, Tirana and Tunis.
Aiming for a water-secure Mediterranean, GWP-Med promotes action, demo application and knowledge exchange on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and the sustainable use of water resources in the region. GWP-Med facilitates a multi-stakeholder platform that brings together 10 major regional networks of different water disciplines (government, river basins, local authorities, professionals, NGOs, research institutes, irrigators, etc) and over 90 other institutions and organisations from both EU and non-EU countries. Working at regional, national, local and transboundary level, GWP-Med provides technical support to policy making; facilitates dialogue on water security and IWRM issues; and implements demonstration actions. Themes addressed include a range of aspects of governance for IWRM; water financing including private sector participation; water-food-energy-environment nexus; adaptation to climate vulnerability and change; river basin/transboundary water management; joint IWRM/Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) planning; Non-Conventional Water Resources Management - including at urban level; water demand management; integrated groundwater management; stakeholders participation; education; capacity building; and networking of targeted groups including decision makers, parliamentarians and the media. Furthermore, GWP-Med addresses gender, youth, equity and poverty as cross-cutting issues.

2. Evaluation Procedure
Applications will be examined by an Evaluation Committee.
The Evaluation Committee will examine the applications and accompanying CVs and motivation letter received in relation to the qualifications listed in the TORs. Applications which do not meet the required qualifications will be excluded from further evaluation. The Evaluation Committee may decide to hold personal interviews with the applicants. Applicants called to an interview may be requested to submit in printed form prior to their interview all documentation supporting their declared qualifications.
