The Global Water Partnership (GWP) has published its Annual Report for 2014, highlighting the Network’s achievements across all its thirteen (13) Regional Water Partnerships (RWPs) which includes the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C).

The International WaterCentre (IWC) is currently offering several full scholarships for high calibre international candidates interested in studying the Master of Integrated Water Management (MIWM) commencing in Semester 1, 2016 at The University of Queensland.

The World Water Congress kicked off in Scotland yesterday (May 25^th, 2015). Since 1973, the International Water Resources Association (IWRA) has held a World Water Congress every three (3) years in various locations around the world.

On May 4^th, 2015, the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) announced the winners of its Media Awards on Water 2015 – Video Competition.

Luke Smith, a Trinidadian graduate student at The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine Campus, has claimed the top spot in the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) Media Awards on Water 2015 – Video Competition.

The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) has embarked on a new initiative under its Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) called “Climate-Proofing Water Investment in the Caribbean” which is being executed in partnership with the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC).  

Small Island Developing States (SIDS) are deemed to be some of the most vulnerable countries in the world to climate change. This is in part attributed to sea-level rise, coupled with the small size of these territories amidst growing populations and other development challenges. Of these development challenges, achieving water security remains an enduring issue which will only be further exacerbated by the threat of climate change.

As part of the two-day Meeting of Regional Partners in Water and Wastewater, the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C), the United Nations Environment Programme, Caribbean Regional Coordinating Unit (UNEP-CAR/RCU) and the Global Environment Facility’s Caribbean Regional Fund for Wastewater Management (GEF CReW) partnered to host a special Knowledge Sharing Session on New Tools and Resources for Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in the Caribbean.

The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) has received the support of a number of  Caribbean Ministers with responsibility for water; senior government officials from different sectors; national and regional agencies; and key partners, all of whom attended the launch of the GWP-C’s Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) for the Caribbean on October 10^th, 2013 in Barbados.

The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) has embarked on a new and exciting initiative, designed to develop practical and user-friendly tools for climate resilient decision-making, focused on the water sector in the Caribbean. The new initiative will be undertaken as part of the GWP-C Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) for the Caribbean.
