The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) under its Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) is developing a regional Caribbean Climate Resilience and Water Security Investment Programme and Financing Plan (CReWSIP). More information on the CReWSIP is available here.

The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) is hosting a three (3) day national training workshop in St. Lucia on December 7^th – 9^th, 2015 entitled “Building Climate Resilience in the Caribbean Water Sector: An Integrated Water Resources Management Approach.”

#COP21 commonly referred to as the United Nations Climate Change Conference is the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). #COP21 kicked off on November 30^th and runs until December 11th, 2015 in France. 

The Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA), the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) and the United Nations Environment Programme Caribbean Regional Coordinating Unit (UNEP CAR/RCU) through the Global Environment Facility - funded Caribbean Regional Fund for Wastewater Management (GEF CReW) Project hosted the 11^th Annual High Level Forum (HLF) of Caribbean Ministers responsible for Water on August 27^th and 28^th, 2015 in Miami, Florida.

The Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (CIMH) will be offering online courses in GIS for Hydrological Technicians and Flood Hazard Mapping during the months of September and October 2015.

For the first time in its 24 year history, the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA) will convene its Annual Conference and Exhibition in the mainland USA. It takes place at the InterContinental Hotel in downtown Miami from the 24th to 28th August 2015. The theme is “Improving the Quality of Life with Water and Waste Management Solutions.

The Global Water Partnership (GWP) has sponsorship available for eligible participants to complete the online course in "Integrated and Adaptive Water Resources Planning, Management and Governance" offered by McGill University’s Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.

One of the areas of advocacy that the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) promotes is Rainwater Harvesting (RWH). GWP-C advocates for safe RWH practices as a means of water augmentation, especially in light of climate related scenarios predicted for the Caribbean.

JetBlue is offering two (2) scholarships for the recipients to attend as observers, the first-ever “Innovators Think Tank on Climate Change and Coastal Tourism” in the Dominican Republic on July 22^nd – 24^th, 2015.

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) of Trinidad and Tobago and the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, will host the first-ever Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Research Symposium in Trinidad on July 15^th and 16^th, 2015 at The University Inn and Conference Centre in St. Augustine.
