Free Short Courses in Climate Risk and Water Resources Management

Are you interested in studying Climate and Water? Through the Water and Climate      Education Programme, you can do this for free!

Columbia University’s International Research Institute for Climate and Society (IRI), in conjunction with the Columbia Water Centre (CWC) and the Columbia Centre for New Media Teaching and Learning (CNMTL), are partnering with The University of the West Indies/Centre for Resource Management and Environmental Studies (UWI/CERMES) and the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (CIMH) to offer the Water and Climate Education Programme.

The Programme consists of a series of four (4) short courses aimed at building the capacity of professionals as well as upper-level students in the water sector. The free online courses will provide knowledge and concepts necessary to manage water resources and risk related to climate change and variability. The 4 courses are:

  1. Introduction to Water Sustainability and Climate
  2. Climate Information and Predictions from Seasons to Decades
  3. Climate Information for Improved Water Management
  4. Water Planning and Policy for Climate Variability and Change
