Mr. Thompson who served as GWP-C’s Chair from 2010 to 2013, was recognised for his contributions to the organisation for his unwavering efforts to raise the profile of better water resources management in the region, at the recently held 4th Caribbean Water Operators Conference on June 26th, 2015 in Grenada which was hosted by CAWASA and NAWASA.
After being presented with the award by GWP-C Steering Committee (SC) Member, Mr. Terrence Smith, Mr. Thompson said “Thanks to my GWP-C colleagues for the kindness and consideration in extending this token of appreciation to me. I am truly humbled by this and it’s really an award to all the people who worked along with me including yourself.”

Mr. Thompson has been a true stalwart to the GWP-C. He has been the partner representative for the Ministry of Agriculture of Grenada over the years; one of the first partner organisations of the GWP-C. He has always actively participated in the Partnership and due to his work and commitment, in 2007 the Ministry of Agriculture was awarded the ‘Most Outstanding Partner’ of the year by GWP-C.
He has over twenty-five (25) years of experience in agriculture, particularly in the areas of land, water and irrigation. Mr. Thompson has and continues to use this knowledge to support building partnerships and contributing to policy and practice for better water management at the national and regional levels.
