The Forum whose theme was “Cooperation, Development and Win-for-all” provided a model platform for government officials, entrepreneurs and representatives from regional organisations to discuss cooperation and development in an effort to promote economic and trade exchanges between China and the Caribbean.
Agriculture and Fishery was seen as one of the top three areas for cooperation between the regions. Mr. Ramgopaul Roop, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rocrops Agrotec and member of Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) attended the agricultural segment of the Forum.
Mr. Roop had the opportunity to host the visiting team from China comprising 30 representatives at Rocrops Agrotec on September 14th, 2011. There he was able to engage the team in examining soil and water management practices.
