GWP-C’s Young Caribbean Water Entrepreneurs Shark Tank Competition seeks to provide a unique opportunity for young persons from the Caribbean between the ages of 18 to 34 years, to pitch innovative and impactful water project ideas to support better water resources management in their community, country or the Caribbean region under the themes:
- Water and Climate
- Water and Agriculture
- Water and Health
- Water and Energy
- Water and Tourism
Entrants were required to submit a project proposal and a 2 – 3 minute video describing their water-related project idea. Our competition’s “Review Sharks” meticulously reviewed the various submissions received and seven (7) finalists/teams will now advance to the final pitch round of the competition. The finals will take place online, on Saturday, December 7th, 2019. All participants received feedback, critiques and advice on their proposals. This will help the finalists in preparing their pitches and is valuable to all participants in enhancing their project proposals.
Finalists will have five (5) minutes to pitch their ideas directly to “Sharks” for a chance to secure seed funding of 4,000 Euros, to advance their innovative water-related project idea.
Here are the finalists in GWP-C's first-ever Young Caribbean Water Entrepreneurs Shark Tank Competition and a small preview of the project ideas they will pitch:
We wish to congratulate the finalists in the competition and all participants. Thank you for being inspired and empowered to contribute to better water resources management in your community, country and the Caribbean.
