On August 1st, 2022 , the self-paced online course Gender and Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) was relaunched. This course is facilitated by the International Capacity Development Network for Sustainable Water Management (Cap-Net UNDP), Global Water Partnership (GWP), Gender and Water Alliance (GWA), and is supported by the Austrian Development Agency.
About the Course
Gender and water resources are intrinsically linked. As such, we need to learn how to apply sustainable and inclusive water resources management to ensure resilience in a world of changing climate, with meaningful participation of all stakeholders. This second version of the Gender and IWRM course is a result of the overwhelmingly positive response received from participants, and the demand for more case studies and interactive sessions. As such, participants will be invited to join the Gender Community of Practice monthly live sessions with the experts and go through some interactive exercises to test their knowledge along the way!
The course is free of charge and open until November 20. All participants who complete the course will receive a certificate from the Cap-Net Virtual Campus.

Additional Support
To support the self-paced online learning, GWP has created an additional resource in the form of Gender and IWRM Community of Practice (Gender CoP) on the recently launched GWP Toolbox and are accompanying the course with monthly Zoom Expert Q&A events during which participants will get to interact with Gender experts from GWP and partner organisations and learn more about each of the four module topics.
The first Live event is taking place on August 24th at 2:00pm CET (8:00am AST) and will feature GWP’s Senior Gender and Social Inclusion Specialist, Dr Liza Debevec. You can register for the event here.
