The GWP / WA regional team conducted the examination of tenders received for the call for applications launched for the recruitment of the firm to audit the Project Mékrou account for the year 2014. The tender assessment report and the draft procurement document are submitted to GWPO for no-objection.
The GWP / WA Mékrou Project Officer supported by the Mékrou Programme Officer of CWP Burkina met with the Secretary General of the Burkina Ministry in charge of water for his participation to the workshop on the National Consultation on the objectives of the Mékrou project and the methodology of its implementation in Burkina Faso. This workshop is scheduled from 3 to 5 December 2014 in Fada N'Gourma.
Mekrou Project: progress in Burkina
The Burkina Faso CWP has launched a call for applications for the recruitment of a consultant to carry out the study on the "Analysis of the current use of water resources leading to the definition of the situation reference to the use of water on the portion of the territory of Burkina Faso located in the Mekrou basin and the studies on existing IWRM plans, policies and green growth strategies and managing situations of drought and flood, energy policies and poverty reduction strategies in Burkina Faso" and the validation workshop of results by all actors of Burkina Faso. The same is done by CWP Benin and CWP Niger.
