In order to revitalize the Country Water Partnership in Cape Verde, the IDMP project manager, Ms. Félicité VODOUNHESSI together with the Senior Network Officer (SNO) of the GWP West Africa, Ms. Julienne ROUX also attending the WASAG Forum in Praia, met and discussed with some partners including the chair of the Cape Verde CWP, Mr Mario MONIZ, the Director of the National Water and Sanitation Agency (ANAS), Mr Inacio Mendes PEREIRA, and Mr Januario NASCIMONTO, Director of the Association for the Defense of Environment(of ADAD).

The first International Forum on Water Scarcity in Agriculture (WASAG) which gathered delegates from 47 countries ended with the Praia Commitments, which aim to promote sustainable water management as an engine for development, strengthening synergies across the Sustainable Development Agenda by 2030, and supporting farmers through improved access to finance, innovative technologies and the adoption of sustainable water management practices.

The Benin Country Water Partnership (PNE-Benin), the Association to fight against Racism, Ethnocentrism and Regionalism (Association de Lutte Contre le Racisme, l'Ethnocentrisme et le Régionalisme -ALCRER) and the Benin Social Watch Network (SW-B) promote citizen monitoring at the national level and in the municipalities.

The Youth Network for the Green Economy (REJEVE) in Benin organized on 19 and 20 February 2019 in the villages of Yakabissi, Makrou Birkou, Camp Peulh Tamande, Goufanrou and Birni the village assemblies.
