In fact, considering the inadequacies noted in the implementation and animation of consultation and water resource management areas, the governance component of the OmiDelta NSA Fund programme will carry out an advocacy with the Ministerial authorities in charge of water to bridge the deficiencies, especially as regards the National Water Council (CNE), the Local Water Committees, the Sub-Basin Committees, the Basin Committees, the Interministerial Water Commission, etc.
As a prelude to this advocacy, there was an exchange session with the ministerial to take stock of the situation of the regulatory texts related to areas for dialogue and water resource management. This was followed by a workshop for raising awareness and validating the advocacy document. The session took place in the presence of executives from the DG Water, the Mono Basin Authority and the Ministry of Water and Mines.
The session contributed to create a new dynamic for accelerating the processes of creation and animation of consultation areas; to facilitate the involvement of the stakeholders in a process of taking a regulatory text relating to the implementation and management of frameworks for dialogue on water resources.
A road map was validated to lead the advocacy for the completion of the process of adoption of the decree on the statutes of the National River Basin Agency.
