As a reminder, the expert working group (EWG) actively participated in the forum through the youth portal (AJPEAS, PMJE, Campus eau), the working sessions, the academic framework but also through partner organizations and structures such as OMVS, CWP, NCD, TROPIS etc.
The workshop aim was to analyze the solutions proposed at the Forum and to assess them in order to address the scientific concerns of the research group, to determine a research approach for knowledge mobilization on water security, and to prepare the participation of the EWG in the next World Water Forum.
In a life story format, the students shared the different activities they participated in as researchers but also as facilitators for other organizations such as the CWP.
The main difficulties encountered during the forum concerned more the comprehension of the sessions in English without translation into French; the weakness of the scientific animation in terms of own sessions, the weakness of the projects submitted to the labelling and the challenge of the professional insertion of the young people.
As a perspective, the organization of another workshop together with the Executive Secretariat of the World Water Forum of Dakar and the other partners; the preparation of the United Nations Conference on Water which will be held in New York in 2023; and the consolidation of the various initiatives which are elaborated during the forum.
