The aim of the workshop was to identify the actions and players in charge of management and conservation, in order to make the most of all the sea's resources. The meeting enabled the actors taking part in the workshop to further develop the various actions to be undertaken.
Ibrahima Kalil Gueye, Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Fisheries and the Maritime Economy, affirmed that the concept of the blue economy hopes that the good health of freshwater and ocean ecosystems, paving the way for a water-based economy, will guarantee an integrated, holistic and participatory approach.
The vice-chairwoman of CWP Guinea took part in the workshop along with the National Confederation of Fisheries Actors in Guinea, the Business Group and the Chamber of Mines.
