Documenting processes at country and regional levels

The GWP-WA Executive Secretariat with the support of Stockholm is working since the beginning of December 2020 to document eleven (11) processes in West Africa including 3 in Benin, 3 in Ghana, 1 in Burkina Faso, 1 in Senegal and 3 at transboundary and cross border level.

GWP-WA Regional Executive Secretariat has recruited 2 regional consultants (1 technical expert team leader in water resources management and 1 associated expert in communication and writing) who are working to guide and consolidate the work from the regional level working with national consultants to document key results achieved and lessons learned in target countries and transboundary basins and at the regional level.

The aim is to prepare a collection of case studies on the eleven (11) pre-identified experiences in the region to describe and document results achieved, best practices and lessons learned, changes that GWP actions have brought as a result of services provided to targeted beneficiaries (Government, municipalities, communities, Youth, women groups, CSOs, Universities, RBOs, etc.) and articulate the added-value of GWP-WA in influencing these changes. The case studies shall serve as knowledge products that can be shared across a wide audience and that can inform future undertakings at national, regional and global levels.
