The CWP Executive Secretary, Hafiziou Barry took part on 2, 3 and 4 July 2018 to the workshop organized by the Senegal River Management Organization (OMVS) on sharing the results of the Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis (TDA).
The consultant explained that the TDA document identifies and analyses the basin's environmental issues and problems and their transboundary dynamics. The document provides a better understanding of the major environmental problems to be solved in the Senegal River basin.
The Strategic Action Plan (SAP) defines priority areas for action and reforms necessary to solve the environmental problems identified by ADT. It is an important tool for environmental management of the basin.
During the meeting, CWP Guinea was able to position itself as a major actor of the civil society to
be involved in ongoing and future activities at OMVS level.
