The competition organised by GWP West Africa in the framework of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Global Water Partnership network saw the participation of journalists from 7 countries of the West African sub-region.
The award ceremony took place in the presence of the ECOWAS Water Resources Management Centre (WRMC), the UEMOA DAREN, the Executive Directorate of VBA and the Country Water Partnership of Burkina.
Mr. Abel Yerbanga of Burkina Info TV and Mrs. Fleur Bamouni/Birba of the daily newspaper Sidwaya are respectively the first place and second prize winners. Both expressed their pride for receiving this encouraging prize that value what they are doing.
A contract was signed with each of them to produce three new media items in their respective news organ.
