A restricted technical workshop was held from 19 to 24 February 2024 in Koudougou, Burkina Faso. It provided an opportunity to update the VBA's Communication Strategy and its first Action Plan 2018-2020, taking into account the priorities of the VBA and its Member States with regard to the management of the basin's natural resources.
The two-day workshop, which began on 26 June 2024 in Accra, Ghana, will amend and validate the draft strategy documents and communication plan resulting from the work of the restricted technical workshop, ensuring that they are consistent with the strategy documents resulting from the recent SAP implementation projects.
The participants in the regional workshop to amend and validate the draft Strategy for the period 2024 to 2030 and the draft Communication Plan 2024-2026 include executives from the Executive Management of the ABV involved in the implementation of the REWARD project, executives from the Executive Secretariat of GWP-AO, representatives of each SFN/ABV, communication officers from the various supervisory ministries of the 6 ABV countries, members of the ABV journalists' network from each country, as well as professional communication resource persons from the member countries.
The work of the meeting will take place in plenary sessions with group work to deepen and enrich the proposed documents.
