The meeting was phased-firstly the in-house meeting of the GWP/N officials, the meeting between the officials of GWP/N and the management of Nigeria Integrated Water Resources Management Commission and finally with the management of Nigeria Hydrological Services Agencies.
The meeting with the two organisations were aimed at reviewing the GWP/N workplan to synchronize with that of the region while in the same vein reflecting the mandate of its partnering organisations. The MoU between GWP/N and Nigeria Hydrological Services was signed and the two organisations were briefed on the involvement of Nigeria in the WEFE Nexus Initiative. There were some discussions on fundraising needs and the modalities for inviting all States Water Board / Water Corporation to register as CWP members.
The meeting also witness a brief ceremony and presentation of an award to the outgoing Chair of GWP-Nigeria.
