The event aims at reminding the pubic on the importance of hygiene and sanitation in the socio-economic development of the country. It is meant to mobilise people around the stakes and challenges of the basic WASH, promote a better visibility and identify major topics on which advocacy should be done towards decision makers.
Educating young people to good hand washing practices will contribute to reduce water related faecal diseases. That is why these practices should be encouraged at schools through hand washing tools provided to schools.
That is why the consultation framework for civil society stakeholders in the water sector presided by the CWP have handed over hand washing tools to the DAVATIN School, in the Commune of Sèmè Podji. The event took place on April 28, 2017.
