The process started in April 2019 with the announcement published. Many applications were received for both positions advertised.
Early June, two committees were set up, the first to shortlist the five well positioned candidates and the second to carry out interview either face to face or virtually.
At the end of the process, TAPSOBA Aristide R. Ludovic from Burkina Faso and TEBLEKOU MAXIME from Benin were selected respectively for the position of Technical Project Manager to be located at VBA and Technical Assistant to be located at GWP-WA. Both will be working with Ramesh TRIPAHTI as Project Manager based at WMO to coordinate project implementation in the six VBA riparian countries.
