This first consultation of the year comes after the physical one held on 7 and 8 October, 2016 recommending to organize the virtual meeting in March or April 2017.
Members of the Finances and budget committee had their consultation on 20 and 21 March to review basic documents submitted to them and drafted a report shared with the SC members.
The SC members approved the reports including financial and audit reports as well as the work plans. They have validated the schedule for the renewal of the organs including the recruitment of a new chair, a new coordinator and a new member of the technical committee. They expressly invited CWP of Senegal and Ivory Coast to urge to comply with their accreditation before end of April 2017. The SC have decided to organize the next Assembly of Partners in Ouagadougou on 28 and 29 September 2017.
In the exchanges, the SC members have welcome the appreciations received from the Executive Secretary of GWPO with regards to progress made in the region and have encouraged the chair and executive secretariat to pursue efforts.
The chair was thankful to the Secretariat and partners of the network for the work done. He added that he “would be glad and proud to leave a very active and functional network to” his successor.
