The PNECI aims to set up an IWRM Platform in Côte d'Ivoire

In their efforts to relaunch activities and set up the IWRM Platform, the Chair of the Côte d'Ivoire Country Water Partnership (PNECI) and his team had a working meeting with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM)-Côte d'Ivoire.

This was an opportunity to talk about the progress made on the training and awareness-raising projects initiated by the PNECI, as well as the national and sub-regional processes in which the Côte d'Ivoire National Water Partnership has taken part.

It emerged from this point that the PNECI and the IOM are in favour of developing a partnership to implement IWRM in Côte d'Ivoire. This partnership will focus, on the one hand, on joint collaboration with all development partners within the framework of the platform to be created and, on the other hand, on other activities linked to the development of IWRM in Côte d'Ivoire. Future meetings are planned in order to fine-tune the discussions that have already begun.

The workshop to set up the IWRM Platform is scheduled to take place on 19 and 20 September 2024 in Abidjan.

As part of the preparations for this meeting, the PNECI held a working session with the Director General of Water and Sanitation on 19 July 2024. The meeting revealed that the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene is fully prepared to support the PNECI.
