A workshop organised by the project management unit in Benin of the Benin CWP served as a framework for the launch. The event aimed to ensure ownership by all stakeholders of the initiative entitled "Support to the empowerment of women farmers for the reinforcement of climate resilience of local communities in the Tchoutchoubou micro-basin in Northern Benin". It aims to strengthen the climate resilience of local communities through the empowerment of women farmers and the improvement of their access to resources, services and technologies related to water and climate in the Tchoutchoubou micro-basin in Northern Benin.
The consultation workshop brought together some forty participants from, among others the Ministries of Living Environment and Sustainable Development, Water and Mines, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Social Affairs and Microfinance, the Tanguiéta Town Hall, the beneficiaries and target groups of the project, WACDEP-G coordination units in Benin and at regional level, Local NGOs.
The official ceremony of the workshop was led by Mr Philippe MONNI, Head of the Water, Hygiene and Sanitation Department, representing the Mayor of Tanguiéta.
