Participants were familiarized with the impacts of chemical use and awareness of the protection of water. The discussions also focused on good practices in water protection and infrastructure. Traditional leaders who took part were educated for the implementation of the resolutions of the sensitization workshop in villages.
Among other recommendations made at the end of the workshop, participants issued a call to accelerate the establishment of the authority of Comoé-BIA-Tanoé basins to better address transboundary chemical pollution issues.
