CWP-Ghana launched the maiden edition of the Ghana WASH Awards on the 17th December, 2013. This was held at the International Press Center in Accra. The Awards intend to recognize professionals, academicians, individuals, the private sector, among others who have distinguished themselves in the Water Sanitation and Hygiene sub-sector on an annual basis. The launching introduced the Awards to sponsors and stakeholders. There were about 70 participants drawn from the water sector including the Water Resources Commision (WRC), the Water Research Institue (WRI), and the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA) and the private sector. Also present were journalists from both electronic and print media.
