Prof. Abel AFOUDA is the new Chair of GWP in West Africa. His appointment as the new Chair was approved by the participants to the last Assembly of Partners held in Accra, Ghana on 7 May 2013.
Professor AFOUDA has been the chair of the Benin Country Water Partnership since its establishment in 2001. He is a lecturer at the Abomey Calavi University of Benin and has been chairing also the Regional Consultation Council on Water Resources (RCCWR) of ECOWAS.
Mr. Afouda has replaced Honourable Hama Arba DIALLO from Burkina Faso who was Chair for the last 4 years. Mr. DIALLO was congratulated by the Assembly for his actions as Chair.
