WSA: high level forum on water and sanitation

Towards "innovative financing and investments to accelerate access..."

The Panafrican intergovernmental Agency Water and Sanitation for Africa (WSA) held jointly with the Government of Senegal, the 2nd Edition of the annual high level forum on water and sanitation from 12 to 14 December 2012 in Dakar (Senegal) on the theme "Innovative financing and investments to accelerate access to water and sanitation in Africa." In his address during the official opening ceremony, the President of the Republic of Senegal, Macky Sall called for the mobilization of all to give concrete expression to the commitment made at this level and the importance of IWRM for the development of our countries.

Attending to this high level meeting, the Executive Secretary of GWP/WA, Dam MOGBANTE, took the opportunity to meet and exchange with high level profile stakeholders among others, the Togolese Minister in charge of water, very interested to the GWP and discuss ways to get support from GWP through the Country Water Partnership (CWP); the Director of the Hydraulics of Guinea Bissau and interim Director of WSA of this country to talk about the importance to a chance to a second process for the CWP of Guinea Bissau.
