World Water Day celebration in DOGBO

The Country Water Partnership of Benin (Benin CWP) marked the celebration of the 21th edition of the World Water Day (WWD) on March 22, 2013 by mobilizing stakeholders of the departments of Mono and Couffo around the international theme of "Water cooperation ".A radio debate to inform people about the topic was moderated by stakeholders involved in the commune of Lokossa in the presence of the Training and Communication Officer of CWP-Benin.

This opportunity was seized by children members of the Water Lawyers Clubs of the municipality of Dogbo to advocate for the strengthening of cooperation between the school district and the municipality in order to better take into account issues of water management and sanitation in schools on the one hand, and the visibility of children's water lawyers clubs on the other.
The Kids Club of Water lawyers is an innovative experienced by CWP-Benin since 2010 in schools to raise awareness among students on issues related to water hygiene and sanitation in order to induce gradually in the community habits of good practices in water, hygiene and sanitation. To this end, the CWP made ​​available toolkits to each of the seven districts of the town, easy to carry out by learners, "The Tipy Tap" for the practice of hand washing  in schools.
Finally, children who are members of such clubs gave an honorary membership to the Mayor of Dogbo. The latter committed to support the generalization of clubs in all schools throughout the municipality.
