GWP Bhutan (Bhutan Water Partnership) with the financial support of Bhutan Foundation have restored water supply to a nunnery and established rainwater harvesting systems at 10 households in Paro, Bhutan.

The Global Water Partnership South Asia (GWP SAS) Regional Council has announced the appointment of Kusum Athukorala as the GWP SAS Chairperson in effective of 1 January 2022.

The first user need assessment workshop for piloted Hindon Dashboard was organised by GWP India (India Water Partnership) in collaboration with Tree Craze Foundation, National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) volunteers on 13 July 2021, online.

To date more than 80 CCA Training Programmes were held with more than 3,450 participants out of which 2,275 were Farmer Leaders and farmers.

GWP South Asia celebrated the World Water Day 2021, by organising a regional webinar on “Sharing Country Level Experience and Lessons on Valuing Water” on 22 March 2021 from 14.00-16.00 hours (New Delhi time).

GWP South Asia 8th General Assembly and Partners Forum “Bringing the Change” is scheduled for Monday, 7 December 2020.

The Global Water Partnership South Asia (GWP SAS) Regional Council announced the appointment of Dr Nilufa Islam as the GWP SAS Chairperson in effective of 16 July 2020.

GWP South Asia’s Regional Chair Dr. Khondaker Azharul Haq passed away on June 27, 2020. Dr. Haq was the South Asia Chair since January 2019.

A workshop to kick-off the project, proposing a Master Plan for Integrated Trijuga River Improvement and Basin Development based on Principles on Investment and Financing for Water-related Disaster Risk Reduction will be held on Thursday, 13 February 2020 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
