The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) will hold its 13th Annual General Meeting (AGM) online, on Wednesday, October 21st, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. (Eastern Caribbean Time).

It is often said that one of the only times you should look back, is to see how far you’ve come. This is quite fitting as Ms. Simone Lewis, Regional Coordinator of the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C), celebrates her second anniversary with the organisation.

The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) takes great pride in announcing that its Chair, Mr. Trevor Thompson has been elected as the Chair of Regional Chairs of the Global Water Partnership (GWP).

Music has the power to connect us, tell stories, inform and educate large audiences on various topics. With this in mind and coupled with the fact that this year marks the 16th anniversary of the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C), in mid-June the organisation launched its “Theme Song Challenge.”

The Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) are a powerful framework for laying out priorities for national climate action, with the potential to guide priorities such as building climate resilience and climate-resilient infrastructure. They can be developed into country-level strategies and/or approaches for mobilising finance for climate resilient infrastructure programmes and projects and for enhancing the necessary policy and regulatory frameworks. The first window of opportunity ahead is the submission of new or updated NDCs in 2020.

Cap-Net, UNDP, Global Water Partnership (GWP), AGWA, SIWI and the Water Governance Facility, will host a webinar series that sets out contributions to strengthen climate and water linkages in national frameworks such as NDCs, NAPs and various investment mechanisms.
