Opportunity – Master Programme in China for Water Professionals

The Ministry of Water Resources of China has introduced a Master Programme for Water Professionals, that is currently being implemented by the Chinese government.

The programme implementation period is from 2018 to 2022. It is used to provide funding for foreign youths to study at the Hohai University in China. The cost includes study and accommodation expenses during study at Hohai University and provides living expenses of RMB 3,000 per person per month. However, students need to pay for their own travel expenses.

Letter from the Ministry of Water Resources of China

Thirty (30) persons will be funded in 2018. The priority areas are Colombia, Peru, Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Poland, Hungary, Mongolia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Cuba, Romania, Iran, Mexico, Uruguay, Brazil, Russia, but not limited to these countries. Africa and the Mekong River countries because of other special projects, are not in the scope of funding in 2018.

To promote the participation of young people in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), the Global Water Partnership (GWP) China is helping to promote this opportunity.
