The GWPEA Regional Coordinator George Sanga participated in the Second Advisory Board Meeting of the European Water-smart initiative for fostering International Sustainable Development (euWater4i-SD) project which was held on the 13th of October 2022.
The euWater4i-SD project, co-funded by the European Union through the COSME program and led by five EU clusters, aims at boosting the internationalization of more than 1000 EU SMEs operating in the water-smart sector and building up new value chains, in order to contribute to sustainable territorial development in the target markets (Eastern Africa and Latin America).
In the next coming weeks, the Advisory Board members will help euWater4i-SD to review the draft version of the Joint Internationalisation Strategy and to mobilize relevant partners in the target areas namely Eastern Africa and Latin America. In Eastern Africa the project focus is on Kenya and Uganda respectively. GWPEA will be hosting a delegation from this forum in both Kenya and Uganda in November-December 2022 and July 2023 respectively on a scoping mission for potential partners in the water sector.
