1. Strengthening resilience of vulnerable communities in Togo, technical meeting of the Steering Committee for the formulation process of the project

The general objective of the meeting was to briefly present to the members of the technical committee the content of the draft report of the pre-feasibility study of the project in order to enable them to provide guidance to the consulting team in the formulation of the concept note and the finalization of the pre-feasibility study report.

The meeting allowed clarification on the role of the technical committee members in the process of formulating the project to be submitted to the Green Climate Fund; gathering guidance from the technical committee on the formulation of the concept note; enriching the content of the pre-feasibility study report; and defining the next steps of the process and the participation of the technical committee members in the success of these steps.

The members of the Committee were invited to take ownership of the project formulation process to accompany it to its successful conclusion. The GCF focal point was pleased with the active participation of the members of the Technical Committee and underlined the importance of this project for the government of Togo, which justifies its support by three technical and financial partners (UNDP, UNICEF and GWP). He finally thanked the representatives of the technical and financial partners and the consultants for their availability.

The validation workshop of the pre-feasibility report of the GCF Togo project was organized in Lomé on 9 July 2021 in Lomé by the Government of Togo in collaboration with UNDP, UNICEF and GWP-WA.
