Burkina CWP Strengthens Partnerships

Burkina CWP has initiated a series of meetings with some foreign embassies in Ouagadougou. Thus, a delegation met with the Ambassador of Morocco in Ouagadougou, Mr. FARHAT BUAZZA on April 20, 2015 for a courtesy visit to present the CWP and its portfolio of projects for a possible collaboration. The Ambassador welcomed the visit and thanked the Chair and his team.
The delegation met on April 23, the Ambassador of South Africa, HE Mr. Gangumzi TSENGIWE, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium in Burkina Faso, Mr Philip HEUTS.

These meetings were extended to national structures with the exchange on April 27 between the CWP and the Permanent Secretary of IWRM, Mr. Moustapha Congo and on 28 April 2015 between the CWP and the NGO DIAKONIA and its Partners: Eau Vive, WYPW, ATAD, Tin Tua, MBDC.

On April 22, a delegation of Burkina CWP led by its chair met with the Director of the Water Resources Coordination Centre of ECOWAS (WRCC), Mr. Ibrahim B. WILSON and his colleagues. The Director reminded the CWP of the good collaboration that his institution has with the GWP Regional Secretariat.
All these meetings were intended to explore opportunities for collaboration with the CWP. The new team of the CWP Burkina set up in December 2014 has set a goal of creating maximum synergy around the CWP projects to mobilize resources at the national level for their implementation.
