Water and Environment journalism competition, the results

IUCN-PACO and Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA) announced the winners of the 2nd edition of the Journalism competition « Water and Environment". The topic of the competition is "Water, an endangered resource, what solutions for the future? "

 

 

Three prizes were announced including the best print that went to Mr. Alain Tossounon from Benin of the Internet portal Podcastjournal.net for his story entitled "Mékrou Basin: a resource that is dying". The price for best radio programme was awarded to Mr. Harouna Sana of Radio Television of Burkina (RTB) for his report "Water, the challenges of a scarce resource." The jury had a heartfelt for the radio programme submitted by Ms. Valentine Zoungrana, of the Municipal Radio of Ouagadougou (RMO / FM) of Burkina Faso, entitled "The Ouagadougou Dams are dying." The three winners will attend the 7th World Water Forum in South Korea from 12 to 17 April 2015 where they will receive their prices during a side event organized by IUCN and GWP. It is worth noting that the spirit of this competition is to encourage media professionals to continuously improve their productions on water challenges in the frame of their normal work.
