As part of the 7th World Water Forum to be held in South Korea from 12 to 17 April 2015, the African Ministerial Conference on Water (AMCOW) initiated sub-regional processes led by Regional Economic Communities (RECs). The process for the West African region is carried by ECOWAS through its Water Resources Coordination Centre (WRCC). A consultant produced a report that was submitted for examination and validation during the workshop held on 8 to 10 January 2015 in Leo, 160 km from Ouagadougou.
Participation in this regional workshop enabled GWP to input effectively in the work and bring the network's contributions to this regional report. GWP / WA will be involved and contribute to the formalization of the report and the activities of the Task Force set up. Mahamoudou TIEMTORE, Regional WACDEP Project Officer represented GWP WAF at this meeting.
