The Project will be implemented in synergy with projects financed by the EU but also by other partners and projects intervening in the intervention zone including : (i) the regional component of the Mekrou Project Phase 2 piloted by the JRC, (ii) the Regional Dialogue and Investment Project for Pastoralism and Transhumance in the Sahel and Coastal West African Countries (PREDIP) - 2017, (iii) the project ''Enhancing Security and Resilience to Climate Change in a Fragile Context through the Water Energy and Food Security Nexus (FREXUS)'', co-funded by the EU and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and whose implementation by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) runs from January 2019 to December 2021, (iv) the Project "Biodiversity and Fragile Ecosystems in West Africa" (PAPBIO - ROC/FED/039-269) and (v) the Nexus Regional Dialogue Project in the Niger Basin, to achieve water, energy and food security while preserving the environment, Phase I (2016-2019) funded by the EU and BMZ with GIZ as implementing entity.
