Grenada - Institutions and Participation

Action 3 - Conduct an outreach and education campaign

In 2019, GWP Caribbean, the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) and the Government of Grenada (GOG), under the lead of the Ministry of Finance, brought together stakeholders from government ministries and agencies, development partners NGOs, civil society, and the private sector to define a series of strategic actions for advancing on IWRM in Grenada. The following action was defined as part of that process and identified as a priority action to be included in an action plan.

The purpose of this action is to further develop IWRM capacity by conducting an outreach and education campaign on topics such as flow gauge data reading, flood forecasting, policies for hotels, green foreign investors, and gender mainstreaming. This action was further developed and implemented with financial support from the SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme as a Stage 3 action. Read more about the implementation process for this action on our Results Map.
