Action 11 - Develop drinking-water quality norms

With the support of UNDP (through the GoAL WaterS programme) and GWP, a multi-stakeholder platform was created in Armenia to work on creating an enabling environment for the Government of Armenia to promote and implement the country’s commitments to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The goal was to design long-lasting, efficient mechanisms for implementation monitoring of SDG 6 targets. The result of this process was a series of actions to improve SDG 6 capacity in the country.

This particular action focuses on reviewing best practices on drinking water quality norms, in accordance with the Drinking Water Directive 98/83/EC, adopted on November 3, 1998.
