With the support of UNDP (through the GoAL WaterS programme) and GWP, a multi-stakeholder platform was created in Armenia to work on creating an enabling environment for the Government of Armenia to promote and implement the country’s commitments to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The goal was to design long-lasting, efficient mechanisms for implementation monitoring of SDG 6 targets. The result of this process was a series of actions to improve SDG 6 capacity in the country.
In order to improve monitoring and ensure accountability, this particular action focuses on improving the quality of data for statistical reporting of SDG 6 targets. This would be achieved by reviewing current statistical reporting forms by the SDG6 standing interdepartmental working group and developing new reporting forms to ensure the inclusion of missing data.
