With the support of UNDP (through the GoAL WaterS programme) and GWP, a multi-stakeholder platform was created in Armenia to work on creating an enabling environment for the Government of Armenia to promote and implement the country’s commitments to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The goal was to design long-lasting, efficient mechanisms for implementation monitoring of SDG 6 targets. The result of this process was a series of actions to improve SDG 6 capacity in the country.
This particular action focuses on reviewing and updating the 2014 project proposal on the "Feasibility Study for the Improvement of Rural Communities WSS Systems" in order to set priorities for inclusion of “unserviced” communities in the clusters and to review the criteria for inclusion. This includes the development of an online platform that supports data collection and monitoring.
