With the support of UNDP (through the GoAL WaterS programme) and GWP, a multi-stakeholder platform was created in Armenia to work on creating an enabling environment for the Government of Armenia to promote and implement the country’s commitments to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The goal was to design long-lasting, efficient mechanisms for implementation monitoring of SDG 6 targets. The result of this process was a series of actions to improve SDG 6 capacity in the country.
This particular action focuses on transferring the operation and maintenance of water supply and sanitation systems to a new water supply company within the framework of a public-private partnership. This will include the assessment of service models as well as a calculation of investment efficiency for different options.
