Action 39 - Joint transboundary action on climate change adaptation, including adaptation measures for the most vulnerable sectors: water and agriculture, drinking water and ecosystems

Between 2018 and 2019, the Ministry of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Country Water Partnership of Kazakhstan, brought together stakeholders from government agencies, river basin organisations, development partners, NGOs, civil society, academia, and the private sector to define a series of strategic actions for advancing on IWRM in Kazakhstan. The following action was defined as part of that process and identified as a priority action to be included in an action plan.

The purpose of this action is to foster transboundary cooperation by developing joint transboundary programmes and projects on climate change adaptation, including joint action on adaptation measures for the most vulnerable sectors such as water and agriculture, drinking water, and ecosystems.
